Moderate growth: About You confirms forecast for 2025

The About You Group recorded revenue growth of 1.3% to €558.9 million in the third quarter of the 2024/2025 fiscal year. While this result may seem positive at first glance, it falls short of expectations, especially given the dynamic developments in the e-commerce market. The increase in active customers to 12.8 million (+3.0%) demonstrates a certain degree of market stability.

Strong results in the DACH region

A highlight of the quarter was the development phone number list in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), where revenue increased by 18.0% to €295 million. The strong performance in this core market demonstrates About You’s potential despite a challenging market environment. Outside the DACH region, however, growth was more subdued, indicating potential for improvement in other European markets.

Adjusted EBITDA reached €20.1 million with a margin of 3.6%. The gross margin increased to 42.0%, driven by lower inventory levels and lower discount intensity. Administrative expenses were reduced by 8.7%.

Success through Black Week campaigns

The Black Friday campaigns generated high order volumes and above-average new customer acquisition. The average order value rose to €59.30.

Solid growth in B2B business

SCAYLE, About You’s B2B subsidiary , recorded this integration gives databar revenue growth of 6.9% to €55 million. With a gross margin of 85% and an EBITDA margin of 50%, SCAYLE remains a profitable division. The integration of new customers such as Harrods and Manchester United demonstrates the potential of this segment.

Planned takeover by Zalando

Zalando plans to acquire About You for €6.50 sault data per share. This transaction could create synergies and strengthen the market positions of both companies. At the same time, integration challenges remain, particularly with regard to different corporate cultures. However, the approval of the major shareholders provides a solid foundation for the acquisition.

About You showed overall positive development in the third quarter, particularly in the DACH region and in the B2B segment. The planned acquisition by Zalando offers opportunities for further growth, but also presents challenges.
