I don’t just build a list of people and then send out emails that try to sell them things. And I know everyone once in a while I get an email from someone on my list who is just like “I wish you’d stop try to sell me something”, and frankly, my feeling

I send, because they’re missing the fact hat I’m really looking to meet needs, I’m looking to meet their needs, but they’re just seeing sales page after sales page. That’s all they’re seeing. They’re not really reading my emails.
But what I find is that most people that genuinely read my emails, they realize as probably everyone on this phone call does, that I’m in the business of finding out what your needs are, and finding a way to meet those needs. Now translate that to your own list, you must build a relationship
with your list. If you start generating subscribers and then you just start sending them sales pages, you’re simply going to turn them off. You must build a relationship with the people on your list.
